Rochelle Bright: From Opera to Anarchy

01 October 2015 - 7.30 pm

Rochelle Bright blurs the boundaries between theatre, cabaret, opera and circus. Her local credits include the hugely popular Daffodils. A graduate of the Tisch School of Arts in New York, she was resident librettist at the American Lyric Theatre and has collaborated with leading US composers. Rochelle is writer in residence at the Michael King Writers’ Centre, writing an indie-opera on the punk anarchist bombing of the Whanganui police computer in 1982. She will talk about her work and how to survive in theatre.

This is a Devonport Library Associates event.
