Daughters of Heaven

06 October 2011 - 8 pm

Daughters of Heaven, by Michael King Writers' Centre/University of Auckland Fellow Michelanne Forster, is a play about the infamous Parker/Hulme murder which took place in Christchurch in the 1950s. The ensuing trial scandalised the city and the country. Since Michelanne wrote her play, the story has led to several other books and a major film by Peter Jackson.

The play is presented by The University of Auckland Postgraduate Drama Program, directed by Toni Tippett and Jordan-Leigh Foulds.

It will be on stage from October 6 to 9, from 8 pm, at the Drama Studio in the Human Sciences Building (Room 149). The Human Sciences Building is at 10 Symonds Street and the Drama Studio is located near the Fale Pacifika.

Tickets cost $15 (waged) and $10 for students. Bookings can be made by email
