Don McGlashan: Soundings

11 April 2013 - 7.30 for 8 pm

Don McGlashan  has been a full-time song writer, performer and composer for more than 30 years, fronted leading bands and written some of our favourite songs.

Don now has a solo career, represents New Zealand song writers and composers on the Board of the Australasian Performing Rights Association, and is soon to feature in a new television project which involves work in prisons. This year he held the Summer Residency at the Michael King Writers’ Centre, his second major literary award. While he was staying in Devonport, Don appeared at a free event at The Depot. He also agreed to speak (and sing) to the Devonport Library Associates his latest work and the challenges of the music industry.
