Caroline is a literature sector specialist and writer with substantial business experience, having previously owned a talent management company. Caroline has managed events for several literature organisations and will use her panoramic view of the industry, and her experience as a writer across digital and traditional platforms, to advance the Trust’s objectives. Caroline has a University of Auckland Masters in Creative Writing (2015), gained a second place at the 2016 Travcom Travel Media Awards, won the 2015 Lilian Ida Award, and was shortlisted for the 2015 Hachette Mentorship Programme. Caroline looks forward to fortifying a robust, vibrant and diverse literature industry through her work with the Michael King Writer’s Centre.  

Caroline joined the Trust in March 2017.

 

The centre aims to promote all aspects of New Zealand's literature, including fiction and non-fiction, and to recognise Michael King's stature as a writer, historian, biographer and someone who helped New Zealand understand its cultural roots.
