We have welcomed Josie, our eleventh writer-in-residence – she is a fiction writer who lives in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. Josie is the author of two novels published by Allen & Unwin Aotearoa New Zealand: Good Things Come and Go and Everything is Beautiful and Everything Hurts. Josie held a MKWC residency in 2023 as an emerging writer where she completed work on Good Things Come and Go.

A Sargeson Fellow in 2024, Josie’s short fiction has been published widely, including Takahē magazine, Newsroom, The New Zealand Listener magazine and in the anthology Ko Aotearoa Tātou | We Are New Zealand published by Otago University Press.

During her residency she will be working on her third novel.
