Sue Perkins has been a regular visiting writer to the MKWC since 2008. Originally from Devon, England, she emigrated with a young family and now lives on a lifestyle block north of Blenheim. She works as a graphic designer and writes romance, fantasy and young adult fiction. Her first novel Three Hearts was published in May 2007. This was followed by the publication of her first fantasy trilogy, the Sky Castles Trilogy – Blue & Silver in January 2008, Russet & Gold in August 2008 and more recently Ebony & Ivory. She has written several romance novels, as well as works for middle grade students and young adults.
