Donna Blaber writes fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. She is an experienced journalist, magazine editor and author. Her first book, New Zealand Driving Holidays, was commissioned in 2004 and since then she has produced over 30 titles, including Great Kiwi Road Trips, Piri’s Picnic, Bruce Goes Home and Sausage Sizzle. She completed a Master of Creative Writing in 2016 (awaiting results) and in 2013 she won Creative Northland’s Excellence in the Arts Business Award. When she is not writing she leads creative writing workshops for children and is available for writer visits as part of the Book Council’s Writers in Schools programme.
Donna was the recipient of a prize from the NZ Book Festival 2016 for a weeks accomodation at the centre.
